Summer Art Voyage: Celebrate the Joy of Art

The core activity of the scheme — Youth Arts Week (YAW) — is just around the corner! This year’s YAW will kick off in late July, featuring a vibrant lineup of arts activities. Our arts ambassadors will showcase their artistic achievements and lead the initiative into the community, sharing the joy of art with members of the public. Alumni of the Arts Ambassadors-in-School Scheme will also take part in various ways, fostering connections and artistic exchange.

Activities include:

  • Opening Ceremony — Featuring theatre performance, ambassador sharing sessions and an arts bazaar.
  • Arts Bazaar & Workshops — Alumni who are now active in the arts and cultural sector will take part in the bazaar and host workshops. They will share their creative skills and experiences with current ambassadors, embodying the spirit of passing on the torch.
  • Theatre Performances — Ambassadors will showcase their talents and learning outcomes in the form of blackbox theatre performance and interactive theatre performance.
  • Exhibitions — Two thematic exhibitions, featuring ambassadors’ works in stage production, performance and visual arts, are a continuation of the Arts Enhancement Courses.
  • Volunteer & Docent Training — Trained ambassadors will serve as event volunteers or exhibition docents. The hands-on experience will deepen their understanding of artistic concepts and equip them with practical skills in organising cultural events.
